Diquis
For a thousand years, the people of Diquis, on the southern coast of Costa Rica, sculpted hundreds of large spheres – almost always perfectly shaped – for purposes that, to this day, remain unclear. They have also created thousands beautiful gold jewels, as well as the finest pieces of pottery of the Pre-Columbian era. Despite the mysterious and incredible legacy they left behind, this civilization remains in the shadows. Let us dive into the profound history and mystery of this forgotten culture, and remind ourselves of what humans are capable of doing with their bare hands.
